My good friend Final DJS recently decided to remix one of the coolest new Empire of the Sun tracks, ''Wandering Star''. We love the original, it's magical. But Final DJS remix is not one to be overlooked. The entire time I was listening to the original track, I kept hoping there was a little more synth to it. Final DJS's remix adds that extra touch to the original, making it just a little bit cooler. Be sure to throw some love at him here.

Östberg - Summer- Disco Unchained Track Premiere!
The Norway based nu-disco prodigy Östberg has got us hooked. No, seriously, it's physically hard trying to stop playing his music. His last premiere at Disco Unchained was his remix of Gold Spectacles' "Steal You Away", and though that track was enough to get you feel the kind vibes Östberg has, his other track, "Summer" more completely captures his 'sound' and his sharp, stinging originality.
"Summer" has, within 30 minutes or so, become a Disco Unchained summer essential, along with Östberg's other Gold Spectacles remix. "Summer" features a french-house sound only comparable to that one of our all-favorite sampled-funk producers; Vanguard. Östberg has swept us off our feet, and it's almost a crime that this man has only a few thousand plays. Its up to you, the connoisseurs of synth and independent music culture, to ensure that some justice is served. Be sure to follow Östberg here, and be sure to really take a listen to, what we consider, his greatest work produced, below!

Paint it Gold - Glen Check (Anoraak Remix)- July Track Premiere!
Glen Check has been pretty big on the scene lately. His latest track, "Paint It Gold" has seen remixes from Lifelike and Jean Tonique as well as Knuckles G. However, of all these remixes, Anoraak's takes the cake. Anoraak's new tropical-synth sound has us hooked. We just can't seem to get enough of it!
A funky baseline, summer vibes and a cool vocal set are all essential features in Anoraak's remix of "Paint it Gold" . As usual, Anoraak's remix is smooth, and the track's melody has a distinct, tropical-disco feel that can pretty exclusively be heard in his latest album, "Chronotropic". Also, Be sure to check out Glen Check's latest album, "Youth" on iTunes.

Who is BronSon?
BronSon, a Nu Disco/ Synth Wave artist from Paris, France, recently came up on our music radar. His music features an array of sounds ranging from funk to outrun. Our favorite track, Vengeance, features pristine vocal samples and a beat that could keep your head bobbing for days. Be sure to check of Vengeance and many others like it on SoundCloud.
A few questions for the artist
Who are the artists who you would consider most influential to
yourself?
“I think we have all been influenced unwittingly by Daft punk,
Kraftwerk, Giorgio Moroder more recently Kavinsky.
I listen to a lot of music (80's funk, metal, hip hop, electro,
G-funk, rock and more). So I think all these styles influenced me,
involuntarily.
Currently artists like: Bestrack, Starcadian, Daze, Besnine, to
go even farther. I have tremendous respect for their work.”
Is being a musician a
full time thing for you, or do you make music on the side of having a full time
job?
“I make music with pure passion, that's why I do not have a
Bandcamp. Warning, I do not mean to offend any artists who possess a Bandcamp
page. Instead, I try to share my music with all the people who like my music
and I regularly send my songs to people who ask for it!”
When did you become
interested in becoming a musician?
“I have always been more than interested in music since I was
young, but I got into it seriously 5 years ago. I used to play sports at a high
level so I used trained a lot, but I hurt myself so I had to take time off and that’s
when music became evident to me. “
Do you have a favorite scary movie, if so what is it?
“"He is back!” I believe the English title is "It"
This movie traumatized my whole generation!!!”
Any new work on the way? EPs, singles etc.
“I am working on several projects at the moment but I will not
say too much, as I would like to keep the suspense. ;-)”
What do you do for fun, besides make music?
“Nothing.”

Le Cassette - Electric Paradise
The latest track dropped by Le Cassette (from their new album, "Left to our own devices") has left everyone at Disco Unchained wanting more and more. Le Cassette, an 80's electro band that consisting of Adam McNab-Lead singer/songwriter, Joe Wood-Producer, and co producer James Nalepa, released its first track back in the summer of 2012. Since then, the band has consistently created killer beats and stellar tracks that will keep you dancing. Le Cassette's vocals have always been one of the band's selling points. Who can resist a voice like that? We can't.
