Torches : The Freak

From Sunny LA comes the duo Torches with the hauntingly beautiful The Freak. An angsty yet nostalgic effort bringing together everything there is to love about indie rock. The track comes off their recently released Endlessly Repeating EP--an apt title, for this track has been endlessly repeating since my first listen.

Guster- Long Night- August Track Premiere!

How about some indie-rock for a change? "Long Night" is the first track off Guster's forthcoming album (produced by Richard Swift), due in early 2015 on Ocho Mule / Nettwerk. The track is a true diamond, just waiting to be found by those with rad tastes in music. Guster features a sound very similar to that of Van She, meaning it's built upon  incredibly hypnotic, and melodic lyrics.  Definitely give these dudes a listen, their sound is both fresh and original. 

Gulf- Prime

What sounds like something straight off Tame Impala's Inner Speaker, is actually the Liverpool based Gulf with his latest single Prime. A song that perfectly manages to encompass the 60's feel, Prime is an absolute delight, and a definite must hear for any psychedelic rock fan.

Pompeya- Night

Slowed down vocals and an entrancing backing track make Night by Pompeya a song that all you indie fans out there will surely appreciate. Featured on their latest EP,  "Night" the mix will keep you listening, with its kicking drums and uplifting guitar riffs. The EP is set to be released on June 17th, 2014 and will be available for download through No Shame recordings.

alt J- Left Hand Free- Exclusive Premiere!

Another pristine production from an artist who has made his way to the top of the indie charts more than once. "Left Hand Free" is the latest track by alt-J an English Indie-rock band that formed in Leeds, England in 2007. The song encompasses many elements of rock, indie and even at times post-punk influences. The song was released by Infectious Music and is available for pre-order on Itunes and Double Vinyl now!

Holy Models - She Stares

"Holy Models" is a duo composed of Adam Frawley and Mitchell van Kaathoven. The band was formed out of Australia and the duo made their debut with the single, "Swimming" which was of great success in the Indie circle. Less than 5 months later, they have achieved a very defined and unique sound through their music which cannot be ignored. Their music encompasses a mixture of folk, electronic, and acoustic elements, which create a very pleasing combination. 

Their latest single, "She Stares" released by Eskimo Recordings, is a masterpiece in disguise that cannot be undersold.
