Moullinex - Take A Chance (Satin Jackets Remix)
If you're into synth music, then you must already be familiar with both Moullinex and Satin Jackets
..These guys have been in the loop for years now, and unlike some of the other artists in the scene, they've managed to not only stay true their sound, but they've also managed to grow immensely as producers. Moullinex's '''take a chance'' was beautiful to begin with, but the Stain Jacket's remix is really something else.. Smooth 70s guitar licks and dreamy vocals make this track an absolute gem. Be sure to pump this on the Hype Machine as well, it's high time this kinda music gets the publicity it deserves. Special thanks to our good buds at DiscoTexas for keeping the sick tunes rolling.

Arcade Fighters.
From sunny Brazil comes Arcade Fighters, one of the more interesting and creative disco-duos we've encountered lately. My good friends Rafael and Fernando (aka Arcade Fighters), have prepared a very groovy old-school disco tape for us. Expect some classic disco in this mix along with quite a few gems scattered around here and there. Also, be sure to scope out some of Arcade Fighter's tracks here, they've produced quite a few gems themselves.

8th Grader - Morro Bae (JNL Remix): TRACK PREMIERE!!!
As you guys have probably noticed, we blog rather haphazardly. Sometimes we post 20 times in a week, and other times, twice a month. There is a very good reason for this. We aren't trying to get every underground track to you guys. That's not what we're about. We're blogging to share with you the handful of tracks that are inspirational, funky, and/or golden enough to be called ''gems''. We wanted to create a no BS blog, somewhere you go whenever you are in need of something different/bad-ass.
Rant over. Anyway, here is one of the BIGGEST tracks I've heard in a long time. My good friend and very talented producer Jon'Nathan AKA JNL, has just released an absolutely groovy remix of 8th Grader's ''Morro Bae''. JNL's edit is funky, synthy, catchy, innovative, smooth, and all around great. Be sure to give the remix a spin below and be sure to download the track because its FREE.

MIAMI NIGHTS 1984: Accelerated!
Friend of the Disco Unchained family, Miami Nights 1984, just released the first track off his next album. We have very high expectations for this new album, because the last one MN1984 released was absolutely sick. The first track from his new album, ''Accelerated'', is pure outrun bliss. I felt a touch of nu-disco in it as well ( so it's perfect for late night drives).

Track Premiere...Golf: All In All (ANORAAK REMIX)
If there's one person's taste in music we trust, it's Anoraak's. He just knows the right people to remix and the right time to do it. Aside from being a talented artist himself, he has an ear for good music. Anyway, he just finished his latest remix for GOLF's ''All In All'' (a cool EP definitely worth checking out). Anoraak's remix is both nostalgic and fresh at the same time. The track features a very synth-y Valerie era sound, so if you've been following him since then, you're in for a treat.

EXCLUSIVE TRACK PREMIERE: MOON RAZ/R -- FOREV/R
Out of nowhere has come MOON RAZ/R, one of the absolute freshest electro-disco artists we've come across in a very long time. His latest release, ''FOREV/R'' is just about as cool as it sounds. Justice-esque disco samples and harsh, uplifting electro progressions truly make this track an instant classic. Trust us, this is a gem. A must hear for anyone who appreciates quality nu-disco or electro-funk.

Purse Candy- Messiah (Disco Unchained Track Premiere!)
If you follow Disco Unchained, and if you support the music we love, then we insist you drop everything you're fucking doing and listen to, what may just be, the funkiest song of 2014. And no, it surprisingly enough, does not come from a big name artist. No. This gem comes from Purse Candy, one of the most under appreciated and flat-out talented groups we've come across in years.
Purse Candy's sound is fresh, funky as the funkiest funk imaginable, and just plain original. Their latest track, ''Messiah'', is hands down the most bad-ass track of the month. Words cannot do this gem any justice. You need to hit play to understand what we mean.

Kraak & Smaak - Back Again (feat. John Turrell) (Hot Toddy Remix)
Hot Toddy recently remixed Back Again by Kraak & Smaak, and believe me his edit is a journey start to finish. This remix features an infectiously catchy rhythm and makes great use of the original track's already mesmorizing vocals. This classifies as a must hear for any Nu-Disco fan. If you dig the sound follow Kraak & Smaak here (and remember to check out Hot Toddy here).

Glen Check.
Seeing as summer is nearly over (or already over depending on where you are and what you do), we thought we'd give you a little treat for your last days of lounging around and chillaxing.. Our good friends over at Glen Check made us a little nu-disco tape filled with nothing but quality music to lounge around to (or to lay at beach to for that matter). Definitely give this a spin, and be sure to throw some love at Glen Check here! They're going places!
Also, nothing but love for our dear friends at Nu Disco Your Disco for co-premiering this, and for supporting us! Double shout-out to Malibee, go check him out him here, he's got some crazy mixtapes and edits on his channel!

Ghassemi - Risqué
Swedish nu-disco producer Ghassemi is out with his new track "Risqué", released two weeks ago via his soundcloud. "Risqué" is definitely worth a listen, not only because of its arresting guitar-line, but also because of its sheer originality. Ghassemi's sound is really unique because it's like a blend of Madeon, Daft Punk, and KC and The Sunshine Band. In other words, it's pure disco. 'Nuff said. If you like Ghassemi's vibes, be sure to give him some support here.

Disco Unchained Summer Essential: Gold Spectacles - Steal You Away (Östberg Remix)
We recently stumbled upon the Östberg remix of the Gold Spectacles' fan favorite, "Steal You Away". The remix boasts the same vocals that brought Gold Spectacles their initial audience, coupled with an infectiously catchy and melodic synth scheme. This is exactly the sound Disco Unchained stands for, supports, and endorses. This track though new, has become a summer essential for us here at Disco Unchained. Be sure to give it a listen!

The Real Patrick Baker
Patrick Baker, a Nashville, TN based producer and vocalist first gained his popularity roughly a year ago, through his numerous collaborations with many renowned artists including; Russian producer, 5 Reasons, and German electro-disco producer, Satin Jackets. Since then, he has built a name for himself amongst fans of many different genres, and continues to craft quality lyrics and vocals, as well as produce his own music.
Was there a turning point in your life when you discovered you wanted to be a musician? Or was it more of a gradual process? Describe for your fans, briefly, why you decided to go into the music business.
"I think for me there have been some turning points for sure, but it's been more of a gradual process. Music definitely runs in my family. My father played saxophone in a band and both my uncles played guitar in bands and also wrote and recorded songs in their home studios."
"But actually hip-hop was what initially inspired to create my own music. I remember writing my first rap one night and shortly after that I begged my parents to buy me a Yamaha keyboard for Christmas. It had a built in sequencer so I immediately started making beats and recording rhymes over them. A few years later I discovered rock music and became obsessed with learning to play guitar. Eventually those two passions intersected when I put together my studio started producing. It's taken me a while to get decent at producing though. I've found that you really have to work at it just like learning an instrument. "
Where do your inspirations lie? Name a few artists who inspired your music.
In terms of overall artistry Jeff Buckley is one of my all time favorite artists along with The Beatles, Prince, Beck, U2, Maxwell, and Ryan Adams. But I'm also very inspired by newer artists like Haim, Shy Girls, FKJ, Disclosure, Mitch Murder, RAC and Oliver.
Heres an easy one; what is your favorite pizza topping?
"Onions."
What is your favorite pastime? Apart from making music, what do you do to keep yourself entertained?
"I love finding new music. Also, traveling, video games, reading, and Twilight Zone re-runs."
Any plans for the near future? Do you have any projects coming up?
"I have a several collaborations that are finished and waiting for release. At the moment I'm focusing on my own songs though. I probably have 50+ tracks in progress and from that hopefully I'll get 5 finished songs ha ha. I'm working on a classic new jack swing track that I may release as my next single and hoping to follow with an EP soon."
What is your favorite television show or movie?
"Well, at the moment I'm binge watching "How I Met Your Mother". But as far as all time favorite I'd say Twilight Zone."
Favorite alcoholic drink?
"I'm a sucker for a good sangria. Barring that, it's hard to beat a Corona with lime."

The Subs - Cling To Love ft. Jay Brown (Blende remix) - I-D Track Premiere
An artist who rarely fails to deliver, Blende, released his remix of Cling To Love by The Subs, a bit earlier today. Making good use of his classic Nu Disco sound, Blende manages to create a very different, yet very interesting spin on the track. The vocals are crisp and the bass line is funky, which makes the mix a perfect addition to your favorite playlist!

Paint it Gold - Glen Check (Anoraak Remix)- July Track Premiere!
Glen Check has been pretty big on the scene lately. His latest track, "Paint It Gold" has seen remixes from Lifelike and Jean Tonique as well as Knuckles G. However, of all these remixes, Anoraak's takes the cake. Anoraak's new tropical-synth sound has us hooked. We just can't seem to get enough of it!
A funky baseline, summer vibes and a cool vocal set are all essential features in Anoraak's remix of "Paint it Gold" . As usual, Anoraak's remix is smooth, and the track's melody has a distinct, tropical-disco feel that can pretty exclusively be heard in his latest album, "Chronotropic". Also, Be sure to check out Glen Check's latest album, "Youth" on iTunes.

Who is BronSon?
BronSon, a Nu Disco/ Synth Wave artist from Paris, France, recently came up on our music radar. His music features an array of sounds ranging from funk to outrun. Our favorite track, Vengeance, features pristine vocal samples and a beat that could keep your head bobbing for days. Be sure to check of Vengeance and many others like it on SoundCloud.
A few questions for the artist
Who are the artists who you would consider most influential to
yourself?
“I think we have all been influenced unwittingly by Daft punk,
Kraftwerk, Giorgio Moroder more recently Kavinsky.
I listen to a lot of music (80's funk, metal, hip hop, electro,
G-funk, rock and more). So I think all these styles influenced me,
involuntarily.
Currently artists like: Bestrack, Starcadian, Daze, Besnine, to
go even farther. I have tremendous respect for their work.”
Is being a musician a
full time thing for you, or do you make music on the side of having a full time
job?
“I make music with pure passion, that's why I do not have a
Bandcamp. Warning, I do not mean to offend any artists who possess a Bandcamp
page. Instead, I try to share my music with all the people who like my music
and I regularly send my songs to people who ask for it!”
When did you become
interested in becoming a musician?
“I have always been more than interested in music since I was
young, but I got into it seriously 5 years ago. I used to play sports at a high
level so I used trained a lot, but I hurt myself so I had to take time off and that’s
when music became evident to me. “
Do you have a favorite scary movie, if so what is it?
“"He is back!” I believe the English title is "It"
This movie traumatized my whole generation!!!”
Any new work on the way? EPs, singles etc.
“I am working on several projects at the moment but I will not
say too much, as I would like to keep the suspense. ;-)”
What do you do for fun, besides make music?
“Nothing.”
